Perfect in our Imperfections: About Me

I'm a 40-something consultant, formerly an associate professor at a small university. I live with my husband and our two very spoiled cats in the Toledo, Ohio area.

I'm trying to lose weight without losing my mind in the process. I'm a Weight Watchers member, Lifetime but not currently at goal.

I'm an Enell Ambassador and I am amazed at the difference a better bra has made for all my training runs and races. I have been enthusiastic about the brand ever since I first tried it.

I am a re-centre subscriber and use their app for Diastasis Recti exercises. It has been instrumental in alleviating my Diastasis Recti symptoms.

About This Blog

Here's the first post from this blog, back in July of 2006. It gives a brief introduction to my weight history and my goals for a a sane, healthy life. I think it's the best introduction that I can give you to this blog and to what this weight management thing is all about for me. You can also look back to my stats when this blog began. My highest weight ever, sometime around 1995, was probably around 215. I'll never know for sure, because I wouldn't go near a scale at that time in my life. I made Lifetime in Weight Watchers in 2002, but as you can see, that did not end the battle for me. This time around, I'm taking things slowly and trying to be sane about it. My goal now is to have a life where weight isn't something I think about much. I just want to be happy with who I am and how I look. Wish me luck.
